What were we hired to do?

Le Méridien hired Moon Kids to design, build and install a complete indoor kids club inside the hotel. The centrepiece is a bespoke two-tier timber playhouse with an arched doorway, porthole windows, a staircase and a wide slide, set on soft interlocking safety flooring with padded wall and column protection throughout. Around it we built long activity counters with green magnetic panels and stools, a low sensory play table with a recessed play channel, upholstered booth seating, quiet reading nooks, and a round activity table with child-sized chairs, poufs and beanbags. Custom joinery completes the space with honeycomb and cubby storage units, wall-mounted display shelving, a picket-fence entrance with gates and a staff reception desk, all finished in natural timber and the hotel’s teal palette with concealed LED lighting for a bright, safe and calm indoor play space.
